He was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1941. He currently lives and works in Madrid.

A pioneering artist of conceptual art, Concha Jerez begins her journey through In Situ Installation, in large-scale specific spaces, continuing in the 1980s with Performance and from the 1990s with InterMedia concerts and the creation of Radio Art. She has participated for stations such as RAI in Italy, ORF in Germany, Radio France, YLE in Finland, ABC in Australia, RNE in Spain or WDR in Cologne. The production of this artist is quite significant since she makes a piece for each exhibition she does.
She has been awarded the Velázquez Prize for Plastic Arts in 2017, the National Prize for Plastic Arts in 2015, both awarded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, and with the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts in 2011. and MAV Award 2012.

He has exhibited internationally both individually and together with his partner, José Iges, in numerous countries, such as Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Serbia, Czech Republic , United States, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia.

Jerez's work, in addition to being part of numerous international private collections, is part of public collections such as the Museum Wiesbaden in Germany, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Nicaragua or the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Spain.
